Decadent Chocolate Pots

A perfect Sunday for me consists of a morning spent in the kitchen and an afternoon spent eating, chatting and laughing. I love cooking for people. I love browsing through my cookbooks deciding what to eat, shopping for the ingredients and prepping it all! I love finishing a meal with something chocolatey and these little mini pots were completely delicious. It is a recipe from Matt Tebbutt and is super easy to prepare.

For six servings you will need;

  • 225g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 400ml double cream
  • 150ml milk
  • 50g icing sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 6 Amerettini macaroons

Place the chopped chocolate in a large bowl.

Bring the cream gently to the boil and then pour over the chocolate. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.

In a separate bowl mix together the milk, icing sugar and yolks.

Pour milk mixture into chocolate mixture and stir before sieving into a clean bowl.

Pour into small espresso cups or pots before refrigerating overnight.

Before serving top with a amerettini macaroon.

Such an easy delicious dessert and no fuss in the kitchen. Very rich but the serving size is just perfect!
