I often come home with odd things in my bag after a shopping expedition! Clothes shopping is not my thing but let me loose in a homewares/food department and I am dangerous!! When I spotted this unusual looking salt on the shelf I knew I had to have it and have been looking forward to using it. It is a french sea salt with the addition of dried hibiscus flowers to give it another flavour dimension and a gorgeous colour. One of my favourite cookery books at the minute is Like Mam Used To Bake book and I decided to make her sharing bread to eh share! I made it in a loaf tin to resemble a monkey loaf and I can highly recommend, very tasty and so easy to prepare!
The hibiscus salt looks gorgeous on top and adds a gorgeous flavour to the bread itself. Lunch today consisted of some freshly baked hunks of bread and some softly poached eggs. Simply divine.
