Saturdays are always a very chilled out day in our house. A cooked breakfast always follows my eldest son’s football match and the rest of the day is spent relaxing after the weeks busyness. I love having a few quick dinner ingredients in the cupboards and this is as simple as you can get. A little bit of this and a little bit of that and you have a dish that everyone will enjoy.
You will need;
Knob of butter
100g creme fraiche
Cup of peas
In a large frying pan melt the butter before adding the gnocchi and the pancetta. Fry until both are crispy. Add the cupful of peas and the creme fraiche and stir well. Serve on warmed plates with a good crack of pepper and some fresh basil. Delicious clean flavours and perfect weekend food.
